About us
We are Indonesian-Dutch couple, married in 2002, resident of Utrecht - The Netherlands, have one spoiled dog named Milo and one "gonna be spoiled" baby Isabelle.
This webpage mainly is use to share our story and pictures to our family and friends. But of course we always welcome for new friends.
The idea of this webpage is to share our story and pictures to our family and friends.
Since Ira's Dutch language is far from perfect and Dimitri's Indonesian language is even worse, we decided to use English as the main language in this blog,
eventhough lately due to the laziness of Ira, Indonesian language seems to take over.
Please feel free to browse around and give us your comment.

Sofaku sayang sofaku malang
After waiting for almost 2 months finally we got a call telling us that our ordered couch is ready and they going to deliver it today, friday 23 December 2005. They said they will come in between 08.00 and 10.00 am.
Guess what, they rang the bell at 07.35... we were still in the bed of course... ... Dimitri jumped out the bed, grab the clothes and run down to the door..... just to found out that the couch doesn't fit to get into our door it just few centimeters too high
We tried everything we could but that couch just doesn't fit.... our door is too small.... mind you, we lived in old house from year 1930.... it is a beautiful house, still very autenthiek with original door and original colouring glass on it with nice atmosphere to live in.... but also with all the minus points, like the door is not too wide, the stairs is quite narrow, bedroom is quite small etc...
Well anyway, the couch has to go back and we have to look for another... we still have to call them to see if they going to charge us with anything... the annoying pasrt is that we have to wait for almost two months for this couch and now we can't even have it.... not to mention the whole process of looking the right couch has to start all over again
On the bright side... we know now our limitation for next order.... the door!!!

ik hou van jou
Last night we watched rerun of Oprah Show on the bed just before we went to sleep. We don't really follow the whole show, was just zapping through all the channels when we stumbled on Oprah. It was about a young couple that fell in love and got married and was on the way to their honeymoon when all of the sudden the husband went missing. He said to the wife that he forgot his wallet and went to the car to get it but he never return. The car still standing there on the parking lot, no husband no wallet. His wife went to police. They fond him 3 days later on the abandoned area with empty look on his face. He can't remember a thing... not his name not his wife.. nothing
Doctors declared he has amnnesia. He has to learn everything again. His wife stand by his side on the recovery proces. On the interview, he said that everything is new for him... even a taste of an orange is new. At one point Oprah asked him, "do you fall in love with your wife again" He doesn't really answer Oprah's question in yes or no, he replied. "what to not to like about her? She loves me, she stands by me all the time" .... but he doesn't say if he loves her... in my opinion he doesn't and maybe she also doesn't loves him anymore... their body language is all wrong.... Of course I'm not really an expert in body language, but you can see it clearly.... they sit far away from each other... never even touching hand or anything... she doesn't even look at him... sad.... really sad
I asked Dimitri, if that would happen to us... will he fall in love with me again? Dimitri, as a good trained husband... give answer that wife wants to hear of course... hehehe He said, "natuurlijk liefje, I'm in love with you once... I will fall in love with again for sure" hehehe goed zo jonge...
Ach... ik hou van jou bertubi-tubi deh....

Busy Saturday
My weekend started early this Saturday, went to the centrum, to Intertoys to look for birthday gift for daughter of one of my colleague. Found nothing that she will interested at but we found something else for ourselves hehehe . From Intertoys we went to gift shop, got two gifts there then off the market. Bought some vegetables and chicken for a week supplies. Then to Cosmo
I've been planning to cut my hair for sometime already. It's getting very long and heavy. And I lost quite much hair recenty due to changing of the season. Since I have to renew my passport, I was thinking to cut it then I would have a recent photo with recent hair cut on my passport...
So, voila!!! Before and after They cut quite much of it, about 20 cm I would say.... doesn't look much different on pictures but it does in real.... I hope that I don't loose too much hair from now on
One bonus... do I look like Samara from The Ring of what...

Waroom Engels?
I got that qustion quite a lot. Some friends asked me why not just using Indonesia or even Dutch for that matter.
To tell you the truth, originally was meant to be written in Indonesia. It is after all my mother language so it will be easier to play around with the sentences, slangs and expression in Indonesian than in English. So I can express my self better if I write my blog in Indonesian. And of course that true, but for some reason sometimes I find my self easier to write in English... some sentence are meant to be writtenm in English.... sound strange if you try to write it in Indonesia, I mean perfect EYD Indonesia... but then again, I don't even speak Indonesian properly, my whole life I lived in Java thus my Indonesian is mixed with abit Javanese.
I'm not a snob that pretend to speak perfectly in English....not at all.. my English is far from perfect and now that I'm forced to speak Dutch daily, it even ruined my english. It's just that English is universally accepted language. I have some old chatting friend in USA, in Italy, in UK and some other part of the world that doesn't understand Indonesia at all and they like to know some stories drom me from time to time.... so for now English is the best solusion
And I have Dimitri on the other side to think of. The first idea of having this blog is to share our stories. If I use Indonesian, it will be totally my story because Dimitri would not have any idea what I talking about.... yes... he learn some Indonesian but so far he only managed to to say "saya lapar" "saya haus" "saya capek" hehehe One other thing is that I am the kind of person that not easy to say what I'm felling inside. I feel it easier to write it.... if I would write it in Indonesian, Dimtri would not get it.... so this blog is one of plenty way of communicating.. it is usefull to give him a hint about my feeling or about what I want.... like this christmas, I want to have IPOD for a gift... hint..hint.. hint.... hehehehe
So, that is the idea behind webkita, our web... Dimitri managed to posted some few stories of his own... he said he would like to do some more if he has more time... but I would not hold my breath

niks bijzonder
Not much happening in the last few days. Just robotic activitas, wake up, breakfast, walk with Milo, go to work, work, go home, dinner, watch tv/doing stuff on computer/ sleep.... the next day begin again...
We did have a quite busy weekend. I have to go to Red Cross Saturday morning, it was my turn to be volunteer there. Dimitri has to go to Breda to the car dealer to get his new car window. In the afternoon we went to supermarket for our weekly groceries.
Sunday we woke up late and just stay in the bed to talked abit. Luckily Milo also very sleepy so we don't have to rush out to walk him. Made pancakes for breakfast. End of the morning, took christmas stuffs out of the closet and started to build out christmas tree. Again this year we decided to use plastic tree. It is better for the environtment and in the long term cheaper than real tree hehehe.... and the most important thing is doesn't make as much mess as real tree. I took some snap shots but too lazy to upload it now

I got one from my boss... dank je.... het is zo lief
Only one thing I don't get it... I got letter M... hehehe

Pictures from friday/saturday
Taken on friday night right after it happened
Totally open like my nose hole
Old appartment area where we found Dimitri's sweater
I even went inside the dumpster to look for our house keys or anything else
Close look of the stupid temporary window. I could have did that my self with only 5 euro
Am I a materialistic person? That question has been bugging me in the last few days. Since friday I keep thinking about all the stuffs that we lost, how much more money we have to pay to make everything back to normal, keep thinking what if this.... what if that... if I wasn't lazy to cook that friday we would not be going to Albert Heijn then all this won't happen... if I would just going alone to Albert Heijn and Dimitri wait outside in the car... if I would have tell Dimitri to keep his bag in the bagage like usually I did.... lots of ifs....
Back to the question? Am I a materialistic person? Or it just me being a woman? I'm tend to cling on my possesion very much... I'm very upset if I lost something... Dimitri took this very easy.... he just shuddered his shoulder and keep going... life goes on... he was quite very cool and periodic... first called the police/112, then ABNAMRO then BMW dealer then this then that..... wihout losing his calmness... I wish I can be like that
Am I a bad person? I keep hoping bad thing happen to those S.O.B. I hope they're not happy, I hope they don't live long, I hope they get hit by car, I hope they die of herpes (at this point Dimitri lauughed at me and say people can't die of herpers, or can't they? hehehehe I don't care... I want them unhappy) Dimitri said, at least we make some kid happy.... somebody right now is happy with his/her new laptop, some other happy with PDA
Sometimes I think Dimitri is more Indonesian than me, the Indonesian.... he just let it flow and think with javanese way "luckily (masih untung)" I'm not really sure if that the correct translation....
Dimitri : Luckily it was the old laptop. he planned to buy new one when we have enough money
Dimitri: Luckily they don't see my mobile phone it was left on the car too
Dimitri: Luckily they don't take you bag as well I also left my bag and just bring my wallet in to the supermarket
Ach well, life goes on.... *still secretly hoping those S.O.B. die of herpes*

Saturday adventure
Yesterday after doing our weekly duty (cleaning, groceries etc), we driving around the area where our cars was broken into. From experience of our friends, usually thiefs would not bother to bring all your stuffs, they just take on things that they think they can sell and throw the rest. We hope we can find some of his important files.
Rightly enough, about 15 meters from where our car parked last friday we found Dimitri's sweater (it was on the top of his bag). Apparantely when the S.O.B. broken into our car they just grab everything. We parked our car and start to look for more. In that area there is an old appartment that scheduled to be demolish next year so it was empty, no one living there except some junkies that using it to sleep and of course also kids that using it to hanging around. In front of that appartment we found some other proof that those S.O.B. indeed running to that area. Beside Dimitri's sweater, we also found some paper from his bag. But no sign of his bag of wallet.
We don't mind anymore about the money on his wallet of bank card etc... but he need his paper and keys to office. We hope also to find his tank-pas, Identiet bewijs or insurance card.... other wise we have to renew everything... but we don't find them. I guess it's already thrown to some place else or still in one of those appartment. The sweater and some papers that we found probably just fallen off when they run.
Yesterday also we changed our house keys. That costs us 150 euro. The original window need to be ordered and that takes more than a week, good thing insurance covers it. In the mean time we have to use temporary window, thats about 80 euro. Dimitri need to go to cityhall for new ID card, that's 60 euro. New driving licence 75 euro. New laptop, new PDA ( I hope our insurance covers them)... Come to follow new bank cards, credit cards, insurance cards, tankpas (fuel card)... I'm not really sure if that going to costs us anything or not
Totaal waardeloos.....

Ingebroken!!!
Sore ini di depan Albert Heijn di 't Goylaan, mobil kita dipecah kacanya.... duuuuhhh sebel banget.... tasnya Dimitri diambil, isinya laptop, PDA, dompet , segala document kerjanya dia... padahal kita cuman 10 menit lho di Albert Heijn.... cuman beli microwave stuff karena males masak....
Daerah situ sih emang kurang aman...
Duh emang sial deh... kasihan Dimitri.... data kerja dia selama satu minggu amblas... dia biasanya bikin back up weekend... belom lagi urus rijbewis baru, blokir bankpas dsbnya
