About us
We are Indonesian-Dutch couple, married in 2002, resident of Utrecht - The Netherlands, have one spoiled dog named Milo and one "gonna be spoiled" baby Isabelle.
This webpage mainly is use to share our story and pictures to our family and friends. But of course we always welcome for new friends.
The idea of this webpage is to share our story and pictures to our family and friends.
Since Ira's Dutch language is far from perfect and Dimitri's Indonesian language is even worse, we decided to use English as the main language in this blog,
eventhough lately due to the laziness of Ira, Indonesian language seems to take over.

My first "rijles"
I just finished my first driving lesson....  It went good as I may say my self. When the instructur picked me up, I was expected that he is going to bring me to some area when I can practice but he doesn't. He asked me if I ever drive before... I said yes but that was more than 10 years ago. Then he asked if I drive alot back then... again I said no... not more than 3 times.... I was abit expected than he is going to take it slow... after all I'm an unexperienced driver. But then he said, ok we just try it... he expects me to just drive.... 
I remember my friend, Soes, said, on the first lesson usually you're only allowed to handle the steering wheel and the speed accelerator, we're not allowed to touch the gear and brake. At least that was her experience with her driving lesson. But my instructur asked me to just try it and he will guide me in process.
The first 15 minutes I was quite tense, many times he has to help me with the brake and gear... usually I did it bit too late or too fast... we went around Utrecht tried also the main road where you have to drive 80 km/hour then back to suburb. The last 30 minutes I was quite happy with my self... I managed to change the gear smoothly...
My instructur is quite a nice man... he makes some jokes everytime I looked bit too nervous... at the end of the lesson he gave me summary what I need to give more attention at. I can't wait for my next lesson....

Hehehe finally.... ready to be seen... first part of my wedding pictures.... 
I never thought it will be taking this much time to put them online.... I'v ebeen prepared them since 2002... since we got married... scan them, resize them, made the album, found other album, change the layout, ready to be uploaded, found other album, scan them again (last time, the size to small  ), resizing again... and finally.....

There is something wrong with haloscan lately... not sure why but some of my friends can't leave comment. So I change the code and decided to give blogger comment a try. The downside with blogger comment is the spammer.
I'll try blogger comment for a week and if it's working well then I'll move the comment from halo scan to blogger if necessary.

Phenomenon
 Last night, this movie was aired at Net5. This is one of my favorite movie. I think I watched it more than 5 times already and everytime it still manages to moved me to tears. One, because of the story. two, because it reminds me of Denny, this is also one of his favorite movie.
The story it self is quite simple. John Travolta plays George Malley, down to earth kind of guy who lives in small town, who sees a bright light in the sky on his 37th birthday and wakes up the next morning as a genius, can remember nearly everything, and has the ability to move things with his mind. People don't know how to treat him, first react in shock, then in awe, then in fear and then reject him for being different. The mystery of this movie is on the light it self. Is it UFO, is it angel? Or just coincidence? Does the light caused him brain cancer?
It reminds me of my brother Denny. John Travolta's character also died because of brain cancer. I remember one time we watched it together, he said to me.... "why am I not like George Malley? I also have brain cancer. But instead of being able to move thing with my mind... I just get constant pain on my head" I don't know who to answer that....  I still don't know
One of the best quote... one of the most romantic quote that I can remember is also from this movie. When George finds out he has brain cancer and about to die soon, he asked his girlfriend, Lace :
George Malley: Hey, would you, uh, love me the rest of my life?
Lace Pennamin: No. I'm gonna love you for the rest of mine.
How could you not love him.... zo lief....

Goggle V
Before 1989, Indonesia doesn't has commercial channel. We only have goverment channel, TVRI acronim from Televisi Republik Indonesia. So, we only have limited choice for entertaintment. Most of films that I watched came out of video. Video rental was a big hype in that time. We rent mostly chinese classic or chinese soap opera or japanese series. When I browsed through internet couple days ago, I stumbled on something that remind me of my childhood...
 Children these days has Power Ranger, in my time (I believe I watched this serial around 1985) there was Goggle V... Goggle, not Google... Five heroes against Deathmark that want to rules the world. Goggle red, black, blue, yellow and pink. They all have their own special power and many combination attacks, such as Lightning Ropes, Dynamite Clubs, Ring Spin Typhoons, Lightning Light Balls, Ribbon Sparks, Goggle Victory Flash, Goggle Bomber, Sabre Attack, and Goggle Golden Spear. And they all are armed with Goggle Sabres. Their nemesis is the Dark Science Empire Deathdark, the 'Dark Scientists' have existed to move the world in the shadows. Some of the Deathmark army are Synthetic Beasts (Mozoos), Super Synthetic Beasts, Kongs, Madaramen: android grunts in camoufalage-colored tights
 I managed to found and downloaded the theme song. and even got the lyric... eventhough I have no idea what's the meaning since it has been sung in Japanese...
And oja... those days I had a BIG... BIG... BIG... crush on Goggle Red...

Verliefd
 Dimitri always says that I spoiled Milo very much, that I just give everything to Milo, whatever he wants, his favorite foods etc and because of me, Milo doesn't really has some good discipline and doesn't listen good etc etc.
Maybe that's true, maybe I did spoiled him.... but I'm not the only guilty one here... Dimitri himself also spoils Milo... he always pretend that he doesn't loves Milo as much I love Milo... but picture doesn't lie... 
Have you ever seen someone looks very much in love like this???

Dwaze dagen
Shopping time for Dimitri.... boy, when he shops... he shops!!!! Especially Bijenkorf, that's his favourite shop in Netherland... they known of their good quality.... ehemmm and also their price.... my self, I prefer H&M.... not as expensive but still ok.... Dimitri always told me to buy stuff in Bijenkorf because of their good quality, they will last longer.... of course that's true, but I still prefer H&M anyway.... even they are not last as longer as Bijenkorf... that always give me excuse to shop again... 
 Once a year, Bijenkorf has an event called "Dwaze Dagen" litteraly means Crazy Days. That is the time when Bijenkrof puts discount on all the items... a real discount not like most shops that put the price higher first before gives big discount. And just like it's name, it was a crazy day.... we barely can walk...people everywhere... chance to buy good quality stuff with almost 50% discount too much to resist.... so there we were... two days in a row... the result??? for Dimitri; 7 shirts and 2 suit for casual wear at work..... that should cover for the whole year... and for me???? nothing!!! nada!!! zip!!! zero!!! nul!!!
We barely can walk on the men's section and on the women's it's even crazier... the whole Utrecht were there... we went there for few minutes and then just went out again.... for every 3 steps we did, we have to wait for about 1 minute before we can walk again.. let alone checking the goods.... not mentioned most of dutch women are bigger than me... they covered most of my view.... so we give up... I'll do mine online

bankrupt and new job
wheeeuuhhhh... finally I got confirmation about my job.... the last 2 week was uncertain period for me. The company that I work for is going bankrupt. They filling for the official bankruptcy to the court. That's mean I'm out of job and I had such a nice job... well, to tell you the truth, the job is not that fantastic... I can get it anywhere... but the colleagues that I work with are superb. They are not easy to find... we made a good team there... too bad now it has to be ended

I proposed to have holiday without paying, if that possible.... I don't mind not getting paid for few weeks as long as I can be in Indonesia longer... until now I haven't heard back from the company... I hope they are ok with it.. so cross your finger for me....
In the mean time... I will scanning my wedding pictures... new deadline... before christmas has to be online....
