About us
We are Indonesian-Dutch couple, married in 2002, resident of Utrecht - The Netherlands, have one spoiled dog named Milo and one "gonna be spoiled" baby Isabelle.
This webpage mainly is use to share our story and pictures to our family and friends. But of course we always welcome for new friends.
The idea of this webpage is to share our story and pictures to our family and friends.
Since Ira's Dutch language is far from perfect and Dimitri's Indonesian language is even worse, we decided to use English as the main language in this blog,
eventhough lately due to the laziness of Ira, Indonesian language seems to take over.
Please feel free to browse around and give us your comment.

BBQ pictures
HP finished!!!! Not as I expected... bit dissapointing... less conflict... still a good story though.... HP is mature now, can hold himself better... I like Snape... I know lots of people hate him, but I htink he just being misunderstood.. or maybe like Dim always says, I like underdog...
Anyway, here is the BBQ pictures from last weekend. We had BBQ in the backyard of Dim's parent's house.... right on the dock... with nice view to the water

Harry Potter
Finally, I got my copy of Harry Potter... yippiieeeeee Saturday morning after doing groceries for the whole week, we went to Broese to pink up my HP #6: HP and Half Blood Prince. It's quite quiet there, not like what I had imagined.... HP#5 launching two years ago was more busy.... But HP has to wait since I already had busy schedule for weekend
Right after groceries we went straight to Lelystad where Dim's parents live. We had BBQ there... photo's will follow... after I finish HP of course...
And last night I read 'till almost 2 am... if I don't remember that I have to go to work today I will still continue reading...

dream... dream... dream....
Last night I dreamed about my brother Denny. I miss him so much..... on my dream we were together visiting my friend, Mia and her baby... the funny thing is I realized that he no longer alive but for some reason it seems just normal.
It's been more than 3 months since he gone.... but I feel as if he still there... like if I go to Indonesia, I will see him again.... well, I will see him again... later.... on the judgement day

Guestbook
Adding guestbook section. My idea with this guestbook is to have a place to leave message beside the comment section.
I was in doubt whether to put a shoutbox or guestbook as a place to interact with people that read my webpage... not that I have lots of people read it, though... hehehe 'cos I don't publish this webpage anywhere. I find shoutbox is not good enough for this purpose, so I choose guestbook instead. Guestbook is always come in handy
So guys, you know how to reach me....

Milo vs wasp
Yesterday after work I walked Milo out to do his "business" as usual. Then I went to change my clothes to something more comfortable. Before I go to the closet to change I saw one small wasp flying through the open window. I thought I'm going to change first then send the wasp away.
Finished, I look for that wasp but I can't find it anymore so I looked for Milo instead. I found him in the bed lying with one paw up. I called him but he doesn't give any reaction. So I tried to lift him then I saw Milo stond and walked limply, with three paws only. Something wrong with one paw, it swollen.... I touched it and he cried. First I thought he fell down from stairs so I tried to massaged his paw abit but he didn't let me.... he kept crying... really broke my heart to hear it. I didn't dare to massage it anymore in case I make it worse. He also shaking quite much, I put blanket over him and caressed his paw softly until he fell a sleep. I tried to call Dimitri but he was in a meeting. I want to bring Milo to vetenarian a.s.a.p.
He slept for about 30 minutes then all sudden Milo woke and stond op, try to jump out the bed. Then he went to the corner of bedroom and throw up there. Then I saw that stupid wasp. Turns out that wasp has stung him and Milo ate it as revenge... that's why he got stomachache. That little wasp quite poisining.... last year Dimitri also got stung and he got a bit fever after.... and Milo even ate the wasp oya, the red circle on picture shows the area where he got stung. Zo zielig...
After 1 hour of rest, he is back to himself and ready to play with Dimitri again So, I can proudly say in this round, Milo vs wasp 1 : 0

It's a boy!!!
When a baby enters this world, into your life A baby can make you forget your worries and strife. It really doesn't matter whether it's a girl or a boy A baby will melt your heart and bring you joy! So shower a baby with love, every single day. Show a baby you truly care- there's so many ways. For with a blink of an eye, time will fly out the door- and your precious baby, won't be a baby anymore!!
Congratulation for Mia and Andrew for their first born son.
This morning we had a perfume tragedy Dimitri dropped his perfume to the floor.... He used Egoiste Platinum from Chanel and the whole bottle scattered all over the bathroom floor. He was in a big hurry because he woke up late, at 06.30 this morning. He supposed to be in Den Haque for meeting at 08.00 am so he has to leave Utrecht at 06.45. And of course, as usual when one thing happened it will lead to another, it's Murphy's law. Now, our bathroom smells verrrryyy good.
So, Dimitri has to go with only deodorant without perfume. I don't understand why deo/perfume is such a big deal for most Dutch people. I never wear one my self. I don't like it and luckily I'm not smelly... or maybe I am??? But at anyrate, since I moved to Netherlands I rarely get sweaty... not sure why.. not even when it's 30C outside. So odor not really bothering me
Zo jongen, we gaan morgen perfume kopen... gelukkig, morgen is koopavond... anders moet je wachten tot zaterdag.... then it will become a real perfume emergency

My busy sunday
After joyride with Milo, we dropped Milo at home and we went to "meubel boulevard" where most of the meubel/furniture shops located. We want to look for some new couch. The one that we have now is getting dirty and old... lesson for you guys...never have a white couch when you have kids or dogs
We got our eyes on one nice couch with nice material and nice extra protection (according to the salesman) against food, vomit, blood, urine the down side is that they can only deliver it in 4 months period because of summer, the factory is closed down for holiday I don't get this Dutch people... don't they need money or something? In Indonesia we can just pay and take the couch immediately. So we decided to think about it more and meanwhile browse to other stores. But I have a date with my old chatting friend from Hongkong to meet up in the city so the couch can wait.
But of courseeeeeeeeee, I don't want to leave with empty hand... We went to other store and order some nice shelf of bed room, so I can put on some nice photo frame and candle for Denny and some more book. My book shelf is already full. And guess what?!?!?! just for the simple shelf we also need to wait until end of August because the factory is closed during summer holiday!!!! What a country!
Anyway, from meubel boulevard we went straight to the city, Dimitri need to buy some clothes for work. But first we met my chatting friend, Lilian and her fiance, Thijs. They live in the city. She just come to Netherland last Wednesday. She is even prettier than her picture. Because we need to do some shopping and they too, we don't sit for a long time. Hope to see them sometime soon.
Back to shopping, we went to Bijenkorf... and who says woman are difficult to choose while shopping???? You should see Dimitri, he has specific demands on his clothes... has to be this and that... doesn't want this and that.... we left Bijenkorf with two pants and three shirts.... no tie that looks appeal to him so that is scheduled to the next shopping trip.... and me???? Sweet little lady doesn't have time to look around for her needs 'cos the shop almost closed by the time Dimitri finished.
We closed the day by having dinner at steak house in Oudegracht.... Nice way to spend Sunday
As you guys know, Milo loves to drive around... he likes to be in the car and stick his head out the window to feel the wind. It's quite a cute view... Milo also like to sit on Dim's lap while Dimitri drives... but that's illegal in Netherlands. It considered as dangerous driving style
To avoid of having ticket from this, we bought him yesterday at the market a dog seat belt. Quite easy to use, you just need to put it on like regular lash then hook it on the seat belt. Sounds easy to use in theory but not in reality. Milo keeps turning around because he doesn't used to it and doesn't like to be attached to the seat. In result he becomes even more attached to the seat. The more he turn the shorter the lash. In the old days, Milo used to jumping and running inside the car.... Sorry, jongen.... dat mag niet meer...
This morning we tried it and driving around a bit... and here's the result:
Ready... and click... hupsakee
Hmmmm... what is this... I can't moved... let me gooooo
Stop taking pictures!!! Release me....
If I promised to be good... will you unhook me... pleaseeeeee

Passie bloem
Update picture of my flowers on the garden.... this is the "passie bloem" that covered most of the view from my living room. I posted the close up pictures of passie bloem few days ago. I live in a quite busy street so it's quite usefull to have this cover 'cos strangers that walk by can't easily see through the window.
