About us

We are Indonesian-Dutch couple, married in 2002, resident of Utrecht - The Netherlands, have one spoiled dog named Milo and one "gonna be spoiled" baby Isabelle. This webpage mainly is use to share our story and pictures to our family and friends. But of course we always welcome for new friends. The idea of this webpage is to share our story and pictures to our family and friends.

Since Ira's Dutch language is far from perfect and Dimitri's Indonesian language is even worse, we decided to use English as the main language in this blog, eventhough lately due to the laziness of Ira, Indonesian language seems to take over.

Today is Domino's day on SBS6, some local channel in here... it's quite fun to watch eventhough it becoming boring after 15 minutes. This year is my second domino's day, it's opened by Shania Twain . Last year was being opened by Nick Carter, ex Backstreet Boys.

According to the presenter, it should be around 4.250.000 pieces plastic to fall on each other and break a new record. But it already went wrong from the beginning.

It began with Shania Twain pulled on some string or something, I don't really see it clearly and then it caused the flags of all EU countries opened and there was a plastic brick that tied up to a string falling down in somekind of bungee jumping way. This brick should hit a plastic plate and that plate should start the whole domino effect.

And that doesn't happen ... that stupid brick falling nicely but the string was too short, so it just hanging about 3 cm above the plate... it doesn't even touch the plate at all.... ... don't know what ms. Shania will think about it... hehehe so, they have to do manually... hit the plate with some long stick... I watched it for 20 minutes then moved to other channel....

But now, I wondered... what will they do with all the plastics when domino day's over?
